Balance & backwash
Get pH to 6.8–7.2 and alkalinity to 80–120 ppm, and let the chlorine drop to zero. Backwash for 3–5 minutes.
Pour both bottles in the weir
Blue powder and amber liquid together, pump running on filter. Your filtration does the rest.
Leave it for a month
From day 3, add one cup of chlorine a week. Next month, dose again. That's it.

Is copper sulphate safe to swim in?
Yes, when it's dosed correctly. Copper sulphate has controlled algae in drinking-water reservoirs since 1904. ActivatorD is a measured dose for up to 50,000 L, poured through the weir so your filter spreads it evenly. Keep pH at 6.8–7.2 and don't double up.
Will it stain my pool?
Staining comes from overdosing or dosing into unbalanced water. Balance first, dose through the weir with the pump on, and never sprinkle it straight into the pool. Used this way, it's been going into SA pools for 15+ years.
My pool is already green. Can I start now?
Yes. Send us a photo on WhatsApp first and we'll tell you exactly where to start. A pool that has already turned needs a slightly different opening sequence.
Does it work with a salt pool?
Yes. Let the free chlorine drop to the starting level and balance pH and alkalinity first. You don't need to change your salt level.
How big a pool does one pack treat?
One treatment covers up to 50,000 L for a month, which is most home pools. For bigger pools, schools or lodges, WhatsApp us and we'll size it properly.
